The musicians of West Head Project, the Now now and Out Hear have been building culture around music outdoors in special and resonant spaces for over a decade. Locations of previous performances have included national parks, urban spaces, mountain tops, caves and islands around Australia. This 10 day musical pilgrimage down the South East Coast features Jim Denley (wind instruments), Monika Brooks (accordion), Dale Gorfinkel (modified trumpet), Sam Pettigrew (double bass), Laura Altman (clarinet) and Rishin Singh (trombone). They will play each day – finding music in unique outdoor spaces. “We hear the alien quality of the non-human in our music and the humanity of music in nature.
