HOW WAS YOUR NIGHT LAST NIGHT, DO YOU REMEMBER? OR MAYBE YOU LOST IT IN THE CHAOS OF ENERGY. WHERE DO YOU LIE? DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE YOU ONCE STOOD? NO IT IS A GHOST. SO YOU LISTEN TO WHAT YOU NEED. WHAT DO YOU NEED? WHAT DID YOU SENSE LAST NIGHT? IIS IT DISTORTED? RESONATING IN YOUR EARS, TEARING YOUR EAR DRUMS APART? IT COULD WELL BE A GHASTLY SPAT!!!!!!!
Luke says: The second (or third) Broadcasting Transmitter gig I asked Eddie and Jasper from Dead China Doll if they wanted to play too. Eddie came round for a jam the week of the show and it warped into something completely different… There were a lot of really dark, pulsating, headfucky drones and we completely lost track of time. 30 or 40 minutes later, we had gotten pretty deep… Eddie said he had been “sucked into a vortex of cosmic evil.â€? Jasper didn’t make it. We tried to explain it to him on the night of the show when we were all standing onstage together. I don’t think we explained ourselves very well… It morphed into a twisted, apocalyptic spew of noise.

Under his Scissor Lock moniker, Marcus Whale has explored a unique combination of manipulated voice, feedback and laptop processing, as well his much-lauded Collarbones project with Travis Cook (aka Cyst Impaled) and his debauched faux R&B boy band Black Vanilla (formed with Guerre and Marseilles).
Jon Hunter’s work sits somewhere between psychedelia and science-fiction. Sounding like organic field recordings but synthetically rendered, these tense environments teeter on the edge of collapse whilst the echoes of Hendrix and Haino fly past. He is a part of The Holy Soul, Guarde Compartmente & Delirium Tremens. He has performed with the likes of Damo Suzuki (Can), David Thomas (Pere Ubu) and Shoji Hano.
Nhomea is a sonic organism that evokes danger, immediacy and spontaneity. The totalising effect of their improvised exploratory sound drives and forces the listener into the unknown, and with alarming effect. Nhomea has been performing since 2007, and have maintained their ruthless improvisational philosophy and DIY enthusiasm to this day.
It’s the year 2012, so you really should start better dealing with your fear.
