AMBROSE CHAPEL (Bris)
Ambrose Chapel is a new music project by Ian Rogers (No Anchor). Forged in the sweltering spare rooms of Brisbane summers, Ambrose Chapel finds Rogers exploring new sounds, production techniques and modes of performance. The results are epic in design and structure, taking the ominous bass experiments of his doom metal band No Anchor and marrying them to someone else’s more sophisticated and tranquil palate.

Andrew Maxam doesn’t get out much. Instead he makes music. He gets compared to all sorts of dope shit, like Baths, Flying Lotus and James Blake. He’s made remixes for the local heavyweights, like Seekae, Faux Pas, Collarbones and Bon Chat, Bon Rat. So check out his beats, there’s a bunch of stuff on his website that you can download for free.

BLAKE FREELE
Mapping and reconsidering terrain traversed by contemporaries such as Ben Frost and Pimmon, Blake’s work ranges from vast and spacious drones to rhythmically driven electronic compositions, married with often intensely processed guitar improvisations. A dark sequence of drones, frequencies and cinematic sweeps, laced with anxiety, restlessness and paranoia. A semi-conscious journey into the dark world of sleep paralysis.

LUKE BACON
Luke Bacon is a Sydney based sound artist with a background in Marimba and percussion. Influences are World of Echo and Easy Jesus so expect dub-delay, over drive, and long dark drones. Luke has performed in many incarnations around Sydney including on Cockatoo Island with Kirin J Callinan, playing replica organ and loop pedals, and with John Connell as Indian Ocean for Radio National’s Quiet Space.
