**
The Artist Formerly Known As “The Artist Formally Known As Doctor Deaf” - Solo Reunion Performance Featuring Gary Butler
After personal and musical differences led to the Doctor splitting up the solo act last year, the voices in Gary’s head have now reconciled and are preparing for a fresh bout of guitar, toys & stupidity.
Gary Butler (Wollongong) - guitar, toys & stupidity

**
Gail Priest - laptop, vocals
Anna Chase - vocals, accordion
A first time collaboration that we suspect might yield velvety swathes, pretty shards and hints of song.

**
Simon O’Rorke (New Zealand) - drums, percussion
Jack Dibben - guitar
Milica Stefanovic - electric bass
Another first time collaboration featuring local Splinter Orchestra members / experimental, rock, funk musicians - Jack Dibben & Milica Stefanovic, with Simon O’Rorke - a musician visiting our shores from New Zealand.

Simon O’Rorke (b. 1955) started playing bass guitar when he was seventeen. He first got exposed to free improvisation when he was a student in London in the 70s. At that time he wanted to be a jazz-funk musician. He attended workshops in free improvisation run by John Stevens and Trevor Watts in London in the late seventies. But it took years for him to realise that free improvisation was his favourite music and what he could play well. Improvising with guitarist Andy Hammond (later of Conspiracy) in the mid-80s was a revelation that clarified this for him. In the mid 90s, O’Rorke started playing percussion in earnest. He has since given up playing bass guitar completely, for health reasons.
