For the past 40 years British guitarist Mike Cooper has been an international musical explorer tracing a path completely his own performing and recording solo and in a number of inspired groupings. His roots lie in acoustic country blues as one of the handful of pioneering players of the Sixties Acoustic British Blues Boom playing with and alongside blues legends such as Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Bukka White and others.
He is also a film and video maker / graphic artist /music journalist and collector of Hawaiian shirts and this year, as well as performing a set of songs and instrumentals he will also perform live to a short film about French painter Paul Gauguin by Italian documentary film maker Folco Quilici and read excerpts from Noa Noa, Gauguins Tahitian journals.
