One of the most powerful tenor saxophonists to ever breathe air through the horn, Kris Wanders was at the birth of European Improvised Music in the 1960’s. A member of the seminal Globe Unity Orchestra his collaborators since have included legendary figures such as Peter Brotzmann, Louis Moholo, Peter Kowald, Han Bennink and Dave Liebman.

Bridges brings together three of Australia’s most prominent electro-acoustic improvisers from a new generation of experimental music making in Australia. The trio deals with constant sound and a focus on the quality and placement of sound that can move in and out of one’s immediate attention. Melbourne-born/France-based percussionist Will Guthrie is one of the most inventive percussionists currently working today, his projects spanning killing free-jazz to devastating musique concrete, amongst other things. He currently lives in Nantes and has come back to Melbs and Syd to visit and play with old pals.
